This USA made 6" x 2" phenolic wheel swivel caster with 4" x 4.5" top plate and 3/4" kingpin provides high-capacity and impact resistance for your industrial application. What makes the 3/4" kingpin important? The kingpin holds the entire raceway section together and is a leading failure point of industrial casters (after the wheel), and this 3/4" kingpin provides a 40% longer life vs. the standard imports with a 5/8" kingpin. Phenolic caster wheels are a long time trusted solution due to their strength and economical price point (cheaper than steel wheels and offering similar capacities). Phenolic wheels are hard (90D hardness), making them easy to roll, and they provide excellent durability when moving or supporting heavier loads (will not flat spot). However, this hardness does not provide best-in-class floor protection, debris rejection, or quiet operation vs. other high-capacity wheels. If you need the higher capacity and want greater floor protection or noise reduction, we encourage you to explore polyurethane caster wheels or nylon caster wheels. Phenolic wheels should not be used in wet applications, as the moisture can weaken the wheel once the protective shell of the phenolic wheel is compromised. This caster features a 1/4" thick steel construction, with legs welded for strength, RoHS compliant zinc plating for corrosion resistance, and a premium 3-year warranty.
